Commissioners award county highway supply contracts to multiple vendors

The Floyd County Board of Commissioners approved a slate of highway supply and materials vendors after the County Engineer reviewed bids and recommended the lowest responsive offers.
Nick Creevy told the board the engineer reviewed bids for gasoline, motor oil, LP gas, bituminous and asphalt, culverts and guardrail. Approved vendors named in the minutes included Jacobi Oil Service, Shelby County Co-op, Mac Construction, C&R and E&B Stone, Irving Materials, Indiana Drainage and Civilcon for corrugated metal pipe, and Payton's Barricade and Sign for barricade and sign materials. The board voted to approve the recommendations on a motion by Frank Loop, seconded by Jason Sharp; the vote was unanimous.
