Taos County awards Holy Cross Medical Center construction contract to Bradbury Stamm

That left Bradbury Stamm Construction as the recommended responsive bidder.
Staff read the numbers into the record: the base lump‑sum bid was reported at about $14,959,000, with contingency and alternates (contingency, trash enclosure, and alternate materials) bringing the staff recommendation total to roughly $15,232,590. “As a result, the withdrawal of the James Corp bid was approved by written determination for NMSA 13‑1‑106,” procurement staff said. Commissioners discussed funding sources; staff said $15,000,000 comes from House Bill 2 with an additional $7.5 million source that can cover costs above the $15 million as needed for overruns and testing obligations.
Commissioners approved awarding the ITB to Bradbury Stamm by roll call. Staff said contract negotiations and a construction schedule would follow, that liquidated damages and completion dates will be included in the AIA contract, and that further contract approvals for testing and project management may come back to the commission.
