Town Manager Scott Murphy told the Selectboard that preliminary figures show the Grand List "looks like an increase of about $27 million," a rise larger than the town's usual 1% but less than 2%. Murphy said this growth will factor into the Selectboard's tax-rate-setting discussion at the next meeting.
Members agreed to restructure the next meeting's agenda so the tax-rate setting occurs early, accommodating a board member's travel plans. Murphy said primary election ballots are available at the Town Clerk's office and reminded the board that next regular meeting dates are July 13 (special time/location noted) and July 21 for the regular meeting.
