Town Manager Scott Murphy informed the Selectboard that a residential property owner has filed a lawsuit seeking more than one access. "A lawsuit has been filed by a residential property owner requesting more than one access," Murphy said, and he told the board that Attorney Merrill Bent has a conflict and Attorney Bob Fisher will handle the case for the town.
Murphy also briefed the board on a separate public-safety matter at 13 Spruce Street. Health Officer Peter Brabazon reported there were no serious health violations but there may be violations of the public-safety ordinance; the town has sent a letter to the homeowner and plans to work with them to improve the situation. Murphy described both items as ongoing matters that could require legal and administrative follow-up.
