Pawnee County Board of Health adopts National Public Health Week proclamation
Summary
During a Board of Health recess, commissioners adopted a National Public Health Week proclamation and received an update that the health department is conducting an immunization audit; the board also granted permission to host a community baby shower.
At 10:33 a.m. the Pawnee County Board of Commissioners recessed its regular session to convene as the Board of Health. Cheryl Hoberecht, Pawnee County Health Administrator, presented a National Public Health Week Proclamation; on a motion by Commissioner Miller, seconded by Commissioner Burdett, the board adopted the proclamation by a 3-0 vote.
Hoberecht told the board she is in the middle of an Immunization Audit and said she is working with Haynes Electric to obtain a quote for placing an Air Quality Machine. After returning to the Board of County Commissioners the board gave Hoberecht permission to host a Community Baby Shower for expectant mothers through babies aged 1.
No formal funding or procurement action for the Air Quality Machine was recorded in the minutes; Hoberecht said she still did not have a quote and was continuing to coordinate the project.
