The Selectboard approved on Feb. 18 a grant agreement for a Veterans Park pavilion and authorized Chair Peter Brzozowy to sign the document.
Recreation Department leads Sylvia Jensen and Michael Simanskas told the board they have a conceptual design and expect to solicit three estimates for construction. The board noted it had appropriated $12,500 to the project and that is the only town money committed at this time; Jensen and Simanskas said the recreation department will fundraise if cost overruns occur. Cary Sandvig moved to authorize the chair's signature on the grant agreement; Joe Deller seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Selectboard Assistant Donna Bohannon will scan and send the signed agreement to the state.
The board directed the recreation leads to act as liaisons with the treasurer on financial matters and to return with updated budgets and timelines as estimates are received.
