Members of the Isle La Motte 250th celebration committee updated the Selectboard on programming ideas and funding options at the March 4 meeting. The committee applied for a Vermont Humanities grant and the Board moved to accept the $5,000 grant; Treasurer Mary LaBrecque agreed to serve as the financially responsible party.
The Board also approved a preliminary list of fundraising ideas—donation jars, sponsorship requests from local businesses, raffles and merchandise sales—subject to a more detailed plan to be circulated by committee member Andrea Carbone for Board review.
