The Montgomery Conservation Commission has scheduled a community walk titled "Reading the Landscape" on Wednesday, August 20, 5–7 p.m., to take place on the Lochers' land; the commission discussed promotion via listserv, social media, Front Porch Forum and posters, and noted co-sponsorship or promotion support from neighboring conservation commissions and partner organizations.
Members reported successful outreach at the July 26 Farmer's Market and planned to staff tables on Aug. 23 and Sept. 27. The commission is also selling raffle tickets for items including a large bat house and two glossy Jay Peak prints at the pricing detailed in the minutes: "3 for $5.00 or 7 for $10.00." The raffle drawing is scheduled for Oct. 1, 2025.
