Community Development Director Kevin Urban told the Park Board that the Request for Proposals for Phase 2 of the Bolton Hill Sports Complex (playground equipment) has been distributed for legal review and will be sent to 10–12 playground equipment manufacturers for bids.
Kevin Urban said a landscape architect will review proposals and bring 2–3 design options back to the Park Board for selection input. City Administrator Matt Michel announced Urban had secured a $100,000 grant to help pay for the playground project. Board members were informed that the RFP and grant funding will guide vendor selection and design choices for the next phase of the complex.
Kevin Urban also presented a brief budget status: after recent commitments including the $500 vendor payment, the Park Board had nearly $3,000 remaining in the current fiscal year that could be used for advance purchases or would otherwise revert to the City.
