The NorthlakeTown Council approved an ordinance updating the Highlands Public Improvement District service and assessment plan for fiscal year 2025–26 on Aug. 21 after a brief staff presentation and a public hearing with no speakers.
John, town staff, said the FY25 assessment was $1,307.97 per acre and that the FY26 assessment in the service assessment plan is listed as 1,311¢ per acre. The council opened the public hearing at 5:47 p.m., received no public comment, closed the hearing and approved the ordinance updating the assessment roll and plan in compliance with chapter 372. The motion carried unanimously.
