Jacob Mettler moved to set May 29 as the tentative opening date for the Menno pool, establish pool hours (Monday–Thursday 1–5 p.m. and 6–8 p.m.; Friday–Sunday 1–6 p.m.), hire returning lifeguards Autumn Rames, Emmarie Rames and Ruby Fitzmaurice, conditionally hire first-year lifeguards Madelyn Fischer and Ashlyn Derby pending certifications, hire front-counter attendants Zoe Schaeffer and Savannah Didomenico at $11.85 per hour, and increase the family pool pass price from $70 to $75. The motion passed with all votes "aye."
The council's action includes conditional hires dependent on required certifications for first-year lifeguards; implementation and payroll setup are delegated to appropriate staff. The pool-opening decision is tentative and subject to staffing and certification status.
