Depot Day, survey and Festival on the Green planned; Housing Task Force requests envelopes

Kim Callahan updated the Selectboard that a Community Engagement Depot survey will be open through June 27, 2026; Vermont Community Resource Group (VCRD) will tabulate results. Callahan said Vermont Integrated Architecture will provide sketches of potential multi-use floor plans that will be shown during Depot Day on Saturday, June 6, 2026; organizers plan to close the parking area between the library and the depot for the event and will offer free ice cream and activities.
New Haven Neighbors told the board they plan a Festival on the Green to coincide with the Fire Department chicken BBQ on Saturday, June 27, 2026, and requested assistance closing Church Road between South Street and Town Hill Road for the event; the road crew will leave barriers for the organizers.
Rick Shappy and Jeff Pratt, representing the Housing Task Force, asked permission to use about 50 town office pre-stamped envelopes to mail a notice to village residents about affordable housing. The Selectboard agreed to allow the task force to use the envelopes.
