The Menno City Council accepted the police report presented by Police Chief Bryan Spiotti at the May 4 meeting. The report listed a range of April activities including speed enforcement operations, a mental-health assist, a mock-crash community engagement exercise, a welfare check, a dog complaint, an indecent-exposure complaint and an attempted warrant service; the council voted to approve the report.
The department also documented traffic enforcement, a call for an animal at large and a complaint reported by the school principal; Chief Spiotti met with the state's attorney and assisted county authorities with an accident response. Follow-up with the school principal and a harassment complaint were also recorded in the report.
