Mayor Darrell Mehlhaf called the Menno City Council to order May 4, 2026; the council approved the minutes and the April finance report and then reviewed April bank statements, credit card invoices and reconciliations. Jerry Fischer moved to release the annual contribution of $5,000 to the Menno Athletic Club; the motion was seconded and passed with all votes "aye." The council also approved warrants and payroll-related disbursements.
Approved warrants and vendor payments included a USDA Phase 2 sewer loan payment of $3,077.00 and a B-Y Water invoice of $6,721.00, among many other utility and service payments. The actions were recorded as motions with roll call votes taken; council members Amber Cross, Ron Diede, Jacob Mettler and Jerry Fischer were recorded as voting "aye."
