The Mount Holly Select Board agreed to pursue an audit covering the period of the outgoing treasurer and assistant treasurers and discussed whether to adopt NEMRC financial management software.
Mark Turco noted advice to undertake an audit "as of the end of the Treasurer/Assistant Treasurer tenure." Faith Tempest said she has contacted an audit firm but needs more clarity from the firm on scope and cost. Mr. Turco also said the town attorney expressed surprise that Mount Holly is not using NEMRC software; the minutes indicate the late treasurer Liz Karle had proposed using NEMRC previously but the board did not make a decision about implementing new software at the meeting.
No dollar amounts or specific audit scope were recorded in the minutes; Faith Tempest reported further follow-up with the audit firm is pending before the board commits to an engagement.
