Select Board names interim assistant treasurer, adds second town account signer

To ensure continuity, Mount Holly’s Select Board appointed Dawn Augustine as interim Assistant Treasurer and approved Mark Turco as an additional signer on town accounts, both motions approved unanimously.
At the April 29 special meeting, the Mount Holly Select Board voted unanimously to appoint Dawn Augustine as interim Assistant Treasurer and to add Town Treasurer Mark Turco as a second signer on town bank accounts.
Diana Garrow moved to appoint Dawn Augustine as interim Assistant Treasurer; Jeff Chase seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Later in the meeting Diana Garrow moved that Mark Turco be added as a second signer on town accounts; Jeff Chase seconded and that motion also passed unanimously. The minutes record that Dawn Augustine was previously authorized to sign checks as an Assistant Treasurer.
Board members also asked that outgoing Treasurer Liz Karle provide a list of banking entities where town accounts are held. Carol Garrow-Woolley said the Credit Union of Vermont lists Shireen Geimer as the only signer on that account.
