Board hears plan, grant pursuit for Sawyer Hill and Beaver Meadow culvert replacements

Select Board member Jeff Chase updated the board on the Sawyer Hill and Beaver Meadow culvert-replacement project, saying he has completed drawings and is preparing permit applications to the Agency of Natural Resources and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Chase said he will solicit quotes for installation once permitting is underway and that a State grant will fund the work to meet state standards.
Julie Parsells asked for additional details about the work and its funding; Chase replied the State grant is intended to cover costs and to ensure the repairs meet State standards. The board asked staff to continue permit work and to return with installation quotes and a grant timeline.
