Town prioritizes salt shed and new garage as capital projects; chair to step down after bylaw work

The Planning Commission received an update on capital budget planning and town administrative matters at the Jan. 15 meeting.
Tony O’Meara reported on a joint meeting of the Capital Budget Planning Working Group with the Selectboard and Budget Advisory Committee, saying a schedule for highway truck replacements remains undecided. He said the town’s next capital priorities are a new salt shed followed by a new Town Garage. Separately, Mr. O’Meara recommended adding Planning Commission information and board member term dates to the town website; the commission agreed to forward those recommendations to the Selectboard Chair.
Chair Larry Scott announced his term expires in March and said he plans to continue serving until the zoning bylaw revisions are complete and then step down. The Commission also approved minutes from the Nov. 20, 2025 meeting.
