Tamworth conservation commissioner Nelson O’Bryan resigns after move to Wolfeboro; membership changes noted

Commissioner Ned Beecher opened the Feb. 9 meeting by reporting that Nelson O’Bryan, who had served as chair for 10 years, has moved to Wolfeboro and resigned from the Tamworth Conservation Commission.
Beecher told the Commission the resignation will create a vacancy as the group prepares its annual report to the town warrant. Kit Morgan and Charlie Townsend agreed to run for new three‑year terms; Teresa Fournier later notified Beecher she will not seek another term. Beecher also said he submitted the annual report for the town warrant and that a warrant article for fire‑tower painting was placed directly in the town budget so no separate warrant article is required.
The Commission accepted the resignation and noted they will coordinate any appointment or recruitment steps as needed. The minutes were submitted by Ned Beecher on Feb. 10, 2026.
