Mount Holly highway crew braces for 'mud season'; board to seek attendant for two-day shift

Clinton Woolley, in the Highways and Transfer Station report, told the Select Board that "mud season is here" and crews are working to keep roads in reasonable condition. He presented a uniform-cleaning and supply quote from Cintas for approximately $45 per week for uniforms and related items and was asked to share a full proposal for consideration at the next meeting.
Woolley also reported that one transfer station attendant will not be able to work both scheduled days. Mark Turco agreed to advertise for a two-day attendant position; Jeff Chase noted that if no candidate is found the board should consider alternative approaches to waste collection. The board did not take a final vote on procurement or hiring during the meeting but asked staff for a complete uniform proposal and authorized advertising for the attendant position.
