Baker said the proposed systems would allow centralized management, mobile credentials and improved security monitoring. Quotes from four vendors were comparable in price except for one notably higher option; two vendor solutions require annual subscription fees. The council discussed budgetary implications: the project is budgeted at $10,000 and the city has a $5,000 grant that must be used by April.
No contract award was made at the work session; staff will return a recommendation and procurement plan at the next meeting.
