City administrator reports audit progress, grant pursuits and Water Treatment Plant delay

City Administrator Max Baker told the council the contract accountant had completed the first rough draft of the 2024–25 audit, staff review had been completed, and the accountant was waiting on auditor questions; Baker said he expects the audit to be submitted on time and presented early in the new year and reported no unexpected findings.
Baker also said he submitted a letter of intent to Lane County for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program as an extension of an existing IGA for emergency services. He added the Water Treatment Plant sedimentation basin project remains on hold while he awaits follow-up from Holly at USDA.
