Mayor Watson told the council staff are working to assemble resources and possible presenters for a community town hall, aiming for mid-August when more residents are available. "We're working towards that with compiling the resources... hopefully we can put it together because everybody's kind of more so out of school, and maybe be able to have something in mid August," he said.
He said the planned town hall would cover fire-related topics and social programs and that other items, such as animal-control and adoption services, are slated for the next monthly meeting so the council can gather more information. Councilors suggested using existing community events as potential fundraisers for equipment purchases.
