Housing task force seeks Selectboard backing for wastewater feasibility, launches site and outreach

The task force reported outreach to VELCO to ask whether the utility would host a community wastewater facility and said Addison County Economic Development Corporation contacts are helping the town learn from neighboring municipal systems. The group outlined potential funding pathways, including using CHIP program dollars and other ACEDC ideas, and requested the Selectboard's approval to pursue grant applications; the board signaled support for the task force moving to the next step.
Task force members said they will return with specific grant applications and feasibility costs for Selectboard approval.
