Members of the New Haven Housing Task Force told the Selectboard they have begun outreach but have not yet received responses to a village mailing and will next target property owners with large parcels.
Task force members Rick Shappy and Jeff Pratt said they have been in touch with Addison County Rural Development and are investigating the state CHIP program, which provides grant funding for infrastructure such as town wastewater treatment. They also reported assistance from state staffer Michael Chaucer, who the task force described as offering ideas to help secure grant funding. The Selectboard authorized the task force to continue work and requested future updates when additional information is available.
