Commission approves fleet purchases, leases and several procurement items

The Daggett County Commission approved a series of procurement items covering vehicle purchases, leases, IT services and maintenance. The commission approved a $25,000 buyout to Bancorp for a 2021 Chevy Silverado (to remain in the county motor pool), authorized a lease for two 2026 Toyota RAV4 hybrid vehicles, and approved a sole-source purchase order to RecoverData.com for $8,022.20 to perform data recovery services. The commission also approved a $10,184.89 repair purchase for a 1993 International dump truck and approved change order PATR-0001 for $5,192 to install new doors at the Oak Water Treatment Plant.
"Motion and a second has been made to approve the purchase request to Bancorp for the purchase of a 2021 Chevy Silverado ... and also approve the sole source request," the chair said when the truck buyout was approved. On the vehicle leases, a commissioner moved to approve leasing the two RAV4 hybrids and noted staff must confirm which unit numbers correspond to which department when deliveries arrive. The small chemical purchase for $3,021.80 was handled administratively because it is below the $5,000 threshold for commission approval.
Commissioners discussed delivery timing for the leased vehicles and confirmed that the truck will remain in the county motor pool rather than be assigned to a single department. The procurements were recorded and approved by voice vote.
