A commissioner asked whether county staff had checked with federal contacts; another noted they had been corresponding with USDA and had provided organizational paperwork and codes requested for funding applications.
No bid package was finalized during the meeting; commissioners said the plans should be polished and bids solicited soon and that further coordination with state (UDOT) and federal (USDA) contacts would continue.
