The Ridgefield Board of Education approved several contracts and operations items at the May 21 meeting. The board approved a 2026 renewal amendment with The Trustees of Columbia University to provide school physician and sports medicine services for $19,170 for the extended term (payable in ten equal monthly installments). The district also renewed engagement with Lerch, Vinci & Bliss, LLP as the independent auditor for 2026-2027 with published hourly rates for partners, managers and staff.
The board authorized continued participation in cooperative purchasing programs (Ed-Data and OMNIA Partners) to support procurement efficiency. It also approved a professional services agreement with High Focus Centers for comprehensive school clearance assessments at $350 per assessment and a program partnership with Kaplen JCC on the Palisades for STRIVE programming at approximately $250 per session. Administratively, the board ratified the advertisement and scheduled bid opening for the Ridgefield Memorial High School Wall Repair Project (bid opening May 20, 2026).
