Later in the year the board ratified additional clinical purchases recommended by the hospital board: an Olympus colonoscope (approximately $33,936 plus a $4,760 service agreement), a Hologic digital mammography system paid largely with a Leona M. & Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust grant (system and service agreements together recorded at $469,926), and an additional diagnostic imaging system and GlideScope devices where noted in meeting minutes.
Hospital director Marty Fattig brought bids and recommendations to the county board for formal ratification. "Motion by Bohling, seconded by Wittmann to ratify the purchase of the Hologic Digital Mammography System … with the cost of the system and service agreement being paid for by a grant," the minutes record when the board confirmed the grant‑funded acquisition.
The board documented each ratification with roll call votes and recorded funding sources or grant support when provided by the hospital. Follow‑up tasks recorded in the minutes included contract ratification, service‑agreement scheduling, and installation coordination with the hospital.
