Hospital, SENCA, Region V and visitors committee reports; appointments and interlocal juvenile plan approved
Summary
Throughout 2013 commissioners received quarterly reports from Nemaha County Hospital, SENCA and Region V, approved multiple appointments (SENCA representative, Veterans board, County Visitors committee) and later approved a four-county juvenile services plan to seek LB640 funds jointly with neighboring counties.
The board received periodic reports from community organizations during 2013. Hospital director Marty Fattig presented quarterly financial and statistical reports (recorded in multiple meetings). SENCA (Auburn office) and Five Rivers RC&D delivered annual and quarterly reports and the board received Region V Systems/Services annual reports and a Region V agreement to provide emergency protective custody services ($124.00 per day for FY2013–14).
Appointments recorded across the year included reappointments and new appointments to boards and committees: the board reappointed representatives to SENCA and the Veterans Service Board (for example, Ray North was appointed to the veterans board to fill an unexpired term), and approved Sharon Hessler to the County Visitors Committee to replace a resigning member. In December the board signed an interlocal juvenile-service agreement with neighboring counties to implement a four-county plan and apply jointly for LB640 funds through the Nebraska Crime Commission.
