Bobby Archer reported a chlorine‑line break at the water plant that was fixed the following day; the incident required drying of paperwork and a short shutdown while the line was repaired. Archer also confirmed the wastewater facilities plan is over 50 percent complete and that engineers will be engaged after the new fiscal year to schedule necessary cleanout work supported by the interfund loan the council approved.
Councilors thanked staff for the operational update and asked to be kept apprised of engineering schedules and procurement to ensure the plant is cleaned before winter.
