"The funding I'm asking for today will help with the print cost for the summer issue," Chad Shelton said, explaining the publication’s distribution plans and a planned feature on local fishing and the recently designated Scenic Bikeway. Councilors discussed the city’s small remaining RTMP balance for the current fiscal year and agreed to approve $1,250 now and consider a follow‑up request for the remainder after July 1; the motion carried.
Shelton offered to trade ad space and local editorial for support, and council staff said they would coordinate payment once the new fiscal year funds are available.
