The newly appointed member recited the oath of office on the council dais: “I, Jera Morricade, do solemnly affirm that I will support the Constitution of the United States, the laws of the State of Oregon, and the ordinances of the City of Westfir,” the appointee said, before signing the oath. Council staff said they would provide the new member with the agenda and procedural materials and follow up on any outstanding orientation items.
