Mayor Jon Michael Shives said the meeting record includes a resignation letter from George Kenworthy, which the council entered into the record at the Aug. 8 special meeting. The council did not vote on a successor; instead, it directed fiscal staff to publicize the vacancy.
Fiscal Officer Heather Canan was asked to post the opening on the village Facebook page and distribute physical notices at the post office, Lavy’s and the local bank. Valinda Hammons moved to adjourn shortly afterward; Bob Williams seconded and the meeting ended at 7:20 p.m.
