The Okmulgee Board of Education approved its consent agenda and several personnel items during its Sept. 9 regular meeting. Trustees voted to accept prior meeting minutes, monthly encumbrances and expenditures, school rentals and fundraiser activities after a motion by Leroy Parker and a second from Vickie Jones.
Board members also approved the hiring of certified staff member Amy Wilson for the 2025–2026 school year and employed support staff including Case Heim (Bateman bus driver) and part-time employee Corionna Lawrence. Motions to hire were approved by unanimous recorded votes. The approvals were part of a broader slate of routine governance actions the board addressed at the meeting.
