Board approves Integrated Guidance Plan for submission to Oregon Department of Education
Summary
After an informational presentation, the board voted to approve the district's Integrated Guidance Plan (consolidated ODE application covering continuous improvement, attendance, early literacy, CTE, SIA priorities and others). The plan will be submitted to ODE for review and grant agreements to follow.
The board approved the district’s Integrated Guidance Plan, the consolidated application the Oregon Department of Education requires to combine multiple initiatives and funding streams.
S3 reviewed the plan’s purpose, its required inputs (equity lens, community engagement, data analysis), and listed priority outcomes: improving academic achievement, increasing student safety/well-being, and enhancing community engagement. S3 also detailed how Student Investment Account (SIA) dollars and other funding streams would be allocated to counselors, intervention teachers, a behavior teacher, STEM and CTE support and a portion of Oregon Data Suite costs.
S2 moved to approve the Integrated Guidance Plan; the motion was moved and seconded and S2 announced the motion passed. S3 said the district will send required minutes with the approval and submit the plan to ODE, which will review and return any required modifications before grant agreements are executed.
