The Montrose City Council approved pursuing vegetation nuisance protocol against two properties at its June 10 meeting.
Action 25-087 authorized moving forward with vegetation nuisance protocol on Gordon's property on 2nd Avenue; Action 25-088 approved the same protocol for Brookes property at 113 W Elder Street. Finance Officer Nicole Siemonsma reminded the council that special assessments had been applied at the county level in 2024 for mowing and noxious weeds on the 2nd Ave property and asked whether assessments should continue into 2025; council voted to continue the protocol.
Minutes do not record any opposition to the motions. The council instructed staff to proceed under existing nuisance procedures and documentation requirements.
