Select Board confirms slate of reappointments and new alternates across town committees

Select Person Mark Leonard moved and the board approved reappointments including Jim Bishop and Rene Ben David to the Affordable Housing Committee, Bill Cleary to the Community Preservation Committee (one-year Select Board appointee term), Amanda Murtha and Karen Tewhey to the Community Preservation Committee, Barbara Baskin and Linda Bryant to Historical Commission seats, Kathy Taylor to the Library Board of Trustees, Peter Meleney and Marilyn Miller to the Oak Bluffs Climate & Energy Committee, and Kevin Brennan to the Personnel Board. The meeting record also shows multiple shellfish, sign review and zoning board reappointments. Geoffrey Van Horn was appointed as an alternate member to the Affordable Housing Committee after introducing his background in property rehabilitation and caretaking.
Most motions passed by roll call with unanimous or near-unanimous support; isolated abstentions were recorded on a small number of votes (for example, Cleary abstained on his own CPC reappointment vote). The meeting packet listed appointment applications as attached documents.
