Council directs maintenance work, pool training and campground compliance follow-up

Council members reviewed several maintenance and parks items during the Aug. 12 meeting. Maintenance Hanisch said crack sealing is planned for August on the south end and expects to pick up a new tractor mower at the end of the month; he also plans to drain the large pool this week. Two council members requested additional training for pool staff before next season.
The finance officer asked the council to consider removing a rarely used sand volleyball pit and to allow seasonal campers to use that area if removed. FO reported a seasonal camper, Janssen, had not provided up‑to‑date insurance and was directed to be sent a notice that the patron will not be allowed to renew their seasonal spot and must move the camper if proof of insurance is not provided in accordance with seasonal camping policies. FO will also check whether campground Wi‑Fi with Golden West requires a password.
