Stephanie Dykes of Salem told the council she currently runs aerobics at Salem's pool and proposed offering swim-aerobics in Montrose two nights a week, Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m., starting June 2 and running through the summer. Council approved the proposal and directed the finance officer to obtain pool noodles and prepare participant waivers (Action 25-055).
Council members discussed fees and lifeguard presence before approving the arrangement. The motion passed with no recorded opposition; staff will finalize waiver language and clarify lifeguard scheduling before classes begin.
