Finance Officer Nicole Siemonsma presented election logistics to the council. The city election was set for June 17, 2025 at the Montrose Community Center (7 a.m.–7 p.m.), and the voter registration deadline was set for June 2 at 5:00 p.m. The council approved paying election workers a flat fee of $200 for election day and agreed to pay the county $40 per election board worker to cover required training; the city will provide lunch to the three listed election board members (Judy Christensen, Cindy Christensen, JoAnn Thompson) (Action 25-074).
Council also scheduled a special meeting to canvass election results on June 19, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. (Action 25-075). The motions were recorded as passed with roll-call votes of “all favored, no opposition.”
