The Porterville Unified School District Governing Board held a public hearing at 5:43 p.m. on Aug. 28 to determine whether pupils have sufficient textbooks or instructional materials for the 2025–2026 school year. Following a review by Dr. Martha Stuemky, trustees voted to adopt Resolution No. 05-26 finding the district in compliance with Education Code Section 60119.
The board recorded a unanimous vote in favor of the resolution: Mr. Pedro Martinez – Aye; Mr. Velasquez – Aye; Mr. Felipe Martinez – Aye; Mr. Ruiz – Aye; Mr. Lara – Aye; Mrs. Berry – Aye; Mrs. Durbin – Aye. The meeting minutes note that no public comments were received during the hearing.
