Under new business the board announced a Halloween party to be held Oct. 1 at the village's new recreation center. A staff member presented the event details under new business and residents were informed of the date and location.
During public comment residents raised additional community-service requests: one resident asked the board to consider expanding services such as a local laundromat so residents who must travel to wash clothes would have a nearby option, saying, "We have to travel other places to go wash our clothes. If you all could take that into consideration to, you know, look into that for us." Residents also complained about intermittent microphone failures during meetings and asked the board to fix the audio system.
