The City Council received and filed the Corporation for Public Improvements of Carpinteria (CPIC) annual report and approved routine consent-agenda items on July 27.
Staff explained CPIC’s purpose — created in 1988 to finance development mechanisms, capital improvements, and instruments such as certificates of participation — and noted that the body meets annually even when no bonds or certificates are issued. "La corporación de mejoras públicas de Carpinteria... se estableció en julio del 88 para financiar los mecanismos de desarrollo, mejoras capitales," staff said in the presentation.
On the consent calendar the council approved minutes from recent meetings, received and filed the register of warrants and a report of contracts executed by the city manager between June 2 and July 6, 2026, and designated delegates for the League of California Cities conference. There were no public comments on these items and the council approved them by general consent.
