Planning Board approves Olive Pitt Brewing conditional use for 16 Main Street

The Lisbon Planning Board unanimously approved a conditional-use application for Olive Pitt Brewing at 16 Main Street (Map U05 Lot 225) during its April 23 meeting.
Economic and community-development staff voiced support for the reuse of the brewery building and for keeping the taproom open. “I just wanted to throw my support behind this and congratulate them on finding a way to repurpose the brewery area into a new vibrant business and still keep the taproom open,” said Ross Cunningham, economic community development. After deliberation, a board member moved that the application satisfied applicable standards of Lisbon's land-use ordinance; the motion passed on a 5-0 vote.
The approval was based on materials submitted by the applicant, written and oral comments at the meeting, and reviews from town staff and reviewing officials. The board did not append additional conditions at the time of approval.
