For Midlake Road the manager said staff will advertise an RFP for engineering services and that the city secured “a little over $5,000,000, $5,800,000 in grant funding” toward that work. Right‑of‑way acquisition for Little Texas Road and Bethpage Road continues, with 36 remaining properties out of a total of 96 yet to be acquired for Little Texas, and some parcels may require eminent domain. The manager also gave development timelines: Millstone (anchored by Harris Teeter) is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2027, multifamily/townhome units in mid‑2028, and the downtown 84‑unit 200 Main project is substantially complete with some remaining signal and intersection work planned.
