Borough Manager Cindy Wells said the borough is waiting on paving quotes from JT Patching and Paving and Cross Paving for the lot and catch-basin area and that affected business owners and the Union City Volunteer Fire Department will be notified before smoke testing is scheduled. The council authorized pursuing CDBG funding to help with these repairs and associated costs.
The council recorded the motion and unanimous approval during the discussion of municipal infrastructure. No dollar amounts beyond the $100,000 CDBG request were specified for total project cost, and the borough did not report a timeline for smoke testing or paving completion.
