"We ordered a bid to install a water and sewer, which was about at least 1,000,000 less than we expected," Charlie said, adding that favorable bid results may leave enough funds to proceed with the road work and paving.
Staff explained the design calls for a looped water connection and gravity sewer that will tie back to the sewer line on SR 50, which should allow future buildings in the park to tap into both water and sewer quickly. No formal contract award was taken at the meeting; staff said the project will be put out for bid for road construction when funding and specifications are finalized.
