Residents press Upper Dublin board to "do it right" — many call for full‑size gym

Speakers from the Upper Dublin Junior Athletic Association (UDJAA) described operational constraints at current facilities and said a larger court would open dozens of earlier practice slots and reduce late‑night practices for families. UDJAA's president Michael Boas confirmed that the organization’s board voted to commit up to $100,000 toward a larger court, conditioned on at least a 75‑foot length. Several residents argued the incremental construction cost was a small fraction of the overall $60 million project and urged the board to weigh long‑term community value in its decision.
