Cornerstone showcases workforce tech, hosts ComEd resource fair in Ford Heights

Angela Smith, executive director of Cornerstone, said the nonprofit has provided continuous services since 1968 and invited attendees to see technology used in workforce development: “Anyone who'd like to see some of our innovative, technology that we use for workforce development… team up with our deputy director, Camille Walton… to see our heavy equipment simulators, our drone, our… VisionQuest, MetaQuest.” Smith introduced ComEd’s CEO and framed Cornerstone as a long-time partner for regional assistance.
Event staff encouraged attendees to speak with representatives after the program and follow up in the hall to receive direct help with applications and referrals to local partner organizations.
